It is WhatsApp’s official click-to-chat link. Opening it starts a chat with your number, even if the customer has never saved it.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The link works the same way for regular WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business numbers.
Will Armenian or Russian text survive?
Yes. The message is encoded into the link and arrives in its own script. Use the “Test it” button to check before you print.
Does the QR code expire?
No. The QR code is just the link drawn as a picture, so it works for as long as the number does.
